doc. PhDr. Lubomír Kopeček, Ph.D.
Docent (approx. Reader in the UK; Associate Professor in the US) at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University. His research and teaching focus on party and political systems in European countries, theory of democracy, and Czech and Slovak politics. Lubomír has published several dozen articles in scholarly journals and edited volumes, and is the author (or co-author) of several monographs: Politické strany na Slovensku 1989-2006 (Political Parties in Slovakia 1989-2006, Brno 2007), Demokracie, diktatury a politické stranictví na Slovensku (Democracy, dictatorships and partisanship in Slovakia, Brno 2007), Politické strany moderní Evropy (Political Parties in Modern Europe, with M. Strmiska, V. Hloušek and R. Chytilek, Prague 2005), and Konfliktní demokracie (Conflict Democracy, with V. Hloušek, Brno 2004). .
