Working group ORGANIZED INTERESTS AND SOCIAL MOVEMENTS

The job of this working group is research on the developmental history, transformation, and current status of selected sectors of social movements in the Czech Republic after 1989. Research is focused especially on the following movements: labor, environmental, women’s rights, human rights, ethnic minority rights, rights of handicapped citizens, the gay and lesbian movement, the anarchist movement, and the anti-globalization movement. Part of this working group’s research is a series of case studies of individual interest groups. The case studies then serve as material for comparative and analytical groups (resources, organizational structure, etc.).
